Clarice Cliff - My Garden

In 1934 Clarice developed further the idea of using molded flowers and leaves for the bases and handles of new shapes and combined this with delecia runnings used on earlier wares. Yellow, honey and tan were the predominant glazes and sometimes red, green or blue can be found. Probably the rarest and certainly one of the most vibrant are the violet and pink colourways. Here is a large 'finned' 768 shape dish which shows the exceptional depth of colour that could be achieved on the best examples.
